The LIFE programme is the EU’s funding instrument for the environment and climate action (L´Instrument Financier pour l´Environnement).


LIFE began in 1992, and the current funding period is running from 2014 until 2020. The NATURE & BIODIVERSITY programme provides targeted funding aimed at environment, nature conservation and climate action projects. LIFE BOVAR - Management of the yellow-bellied toad and other amphibians of dynamic habitats is a LIFE Nature project, aimed at conserving threatened species and specific restoration actions,.
